  10. Sometimes I Wondered Who was the last caller to my (Lora) BBS, I wrote a
  11. piece of batchfile wich could be called by pressing a functionkey, but that
  12. wasn't what I was loking foor, so I looked for a Place where I could show
  13. the Logon time of the last caller I Received.

  15. Well,at the 'waiting for call' screen there was,and is no place, maybe
  16. Marco can make an option in future versions to do so, but until than,
  17. this smooth little util (Wich Is Freeware) does what I want,showing the
  18. logon time and name of the last caller at the screen, and guess where ?

  20. At the 'modem' screen ! The place where modemstrings,send to the modem
  21. are shown,at the screen is a NEW line when you use this program,showing
  22. the logon time and name of the last human caller.

  24. So let it be Very,very clear,so that NO-ONE will flame me for this :

  26. THIS PROGRAM TAMPERS WITH YOUR CONFIGURATION FILE (CONFIG.BBS) SO,BEFORE
  27.       EXPERIMENTING AROUND,MAKE A BACKUP OF THAT FILE FIRST!!!!!!

  31. What It Does :

  33. The LoraBBS Configuaration file does have Three (3) lines for the
  34. modem initialisation strings, I don't use them all,and I don't think
  35. most of us are using more than 2 lines to get their modem ready to
  36. receive (some) caller(s).

  38. So I thought this program could take LINE1 (INIT) to show the information
  39. at the screen the second and Third line are still free for use, you can
  40. find this modem strings at the configuration menu,than choose 'modem' and
  41. pick 'command strings' , as you can see, there are 3 Lines wich could be
  42. used for your initstrings, but in case you don't need them all, make the
  43. first one free, and use only line 2 and 3 for you initstring(s).

  45. Line 1 Will be used (and Changed) by this program,so when LoraBBS Init's
  46. the modem again,the line written in this field is shown to the screen.

  48. If you start this program, the last caller will be read from the file
  49. wich is caled LASTCALL.BBS (Only reading,no writing to THAT file),after
  50. that ,it reads the CONFIG.BBS,and write's the first line, like this :

  52. atz|~ 00:00 : Caller Name |

  54. So The 'ATZ' command is always added at the first line,after that, the
  55. logon time is shown, and the name  of the last human caller.

  57. Test :

  59. When you wish to test this program please do like this :
  60.  
  61. 1) CREATE A BACKUP OF YOUR CONFIG.BBS !
  62. 2) Copy LST2LORA to your main LoraBBS Directorie.
  63. 3) Start LST2LORA from that directorie.
  64. 4) Start LoraBBS (Or LSetup), goto Modem > Command Strings,
  65.    and Voila! The last caller is in the first Init String.
  66. 5) Start LoraBBS, and see that the last caller is shown in the
  67.    Modem screen.

  69. When you are sure this is what you want,make sure somewhere in your
  70. 'aftercaller' batchfile to call this program,so that each and every
  71. caller to your BBS is always shown at the modem screen !
